- To facilitate exchange of information and generally to co-ordinate the interest of Radio Amateurs in the Federal Republic of Nigeria
- To promotes an interest in electronics communications as related to Radio Telecommunications among the Members of the Nigeria Public.
- To maintain around the Federal Republic of Nigeria, (356,700 sqr miles), an amateur radio emergency communications preparedness service service network for the safety of life and property of the members of the public and other safety service organizations around the Federal Republic of Nigeria, as contains in the Telecommunications Act 2006 of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and the resolution of the International Telecommunication Union, (I.T.U), radio regulation article 25, sub-section 25.9A in all its member countries around the world, with the Amateur Radio Emergency Communication Preparedness Service, (ARECS-NG).
- If required to assist any person in obtaining the qualifications necessary to apply for an Amateur Radio license in accordance with the relevant governing amateur radio service in the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
- To maintain close liaison with the Federal Ministry of Communication Technology on all matters affecting both the Amateur Radio Service and Licensing of Radio Amateurs in the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
- To create friendly links with other amateur radio society/association in the 244 countries around the world and maintain its membership of the International Amateur Radio Union, International Secretariat and the Region one, www.iaru.org,www.iaru-r1.org,(I.A.R.U).
The Amateur Service definition,of Experimentation and Emergency Communications, shall be our biding force of the Amateur Service in the Federal Republic of Nigeria, as contained on the Radio Regulations of the International Telecommunication Union,www.itu.ch/emergency,http://arecpsnigeria.groups.live.com,www.iaru.org/emergency

The new Zune browser is surprisingly good, but not as good as the iPod’s. It works well, but isn’t as fast as Safari, and has a clunkier interface.
